As February comes to a close and love lingers in the air, newly engaged couples are beginning their search to find the perfect venue for them.
As you may remember, Olive Street Events suggests planning your budget and choosing a venue before booking other vendors. To get in the sweet spirit we rediscovered a few of the most romantic wedding venues in and around Philadelphia.
3 Romantic Wedding Venues We LOVE
1. The Morris House Hotel
First (and oldest) is The Morris House Hotel. Built in 1787, the property is a hidden gem in the heart of Center City in historic Philadelphia. Its historic charm is truly breathtaking and is the perfect venue for an intimate wedding, rehearsal dinner or bridal shower. The traditional venue is home to classic colonial architecture and a tented 4800 square foot courtyard garden for outdoor events. Large event tents provide ample air flow, protection from unexpected weather and plenty of space to spread out making them perfect for post-COVID celebrations.
2. Franklin Commons
Franklin Commons is one of the Philadelphia area’s most unique wedding & special event venues. Couples have the opportunity to experience 4 different venue options including the art gallery, eclectic sculpture garden, outdoor ceremony courtyard, and Franklin Hall (pictured right) to create a truly memorable experience!
We’re waiting for winter to end so everyone can host outdoor events again. Franklin Commons courtyard holds up to 250 people and the old industrial brick makes an excellent photo booth backdrop.
3. Greenville Country Club
There’s something about a timeless venue that makes the occasion so romantic. Just a 45 minute drive from Philadelphia, Greenville Country Club is simply elegant, priding themselves on hospitality and a relaxed old-world atmosphere. Ceremonies are hosted in the luxurious boxwood garden while receptions are enjoyed on the terrace underneath an elegant tent. The beautiful clubhouse and grounds are sure to leave guests in awe.
