There is a lot of time and work that goes into planning a wedding. With all of the factors to consider, it’s easy to get overwhelmed and wonder where you should even start!
Attending a venue open house is a great way to jumpstart your wedding planning. It allows couples to see a venue and meet other vendors, and will help them start thinking about what they want on their wedding day.
Twinkle Photo Booth was lucky enough to attend some wonderful open houses this winter! Here’s a recap of our visits to The Drexelbrook and Franklin Commons:
The Drexelbrook
The Drexelbrook Catering & Event Center is great for checking both the venue and catering off of your to-do list!
This open house was especially cool because of Drexelbrook’s BVTLive band showcase – which featured the best wedding bands in Philadelphia! Live bands provided entertainment for guests as they enjoyed the style, decor, and photography offerings from Drexelbrook.
The lineup of bands included Big Ric Rising, Back2Life, City Rhythm, Carnivále, Strangers, and Elevation.
The catering offered by Drexelbrook was fantastic with hor d’oeuvres such as grilled ciabatta wedges with fig jam and blue cheese, cheesesteak spring rolls, and bay scallops wrapped in pepper bacon. These apps were good, but even better were the main courses like the slow-braised short rib and spaghetti squash.
As always, we had a couple of guests stop and take quick photos with us while they roamed the venue!
Franklin Commons
The Franklin Commons provided an amazing tour of one of the most unique venues in Philadelphia!
The open house had a lot of other awesome vendors, including Silver Sound DJs, Van Anglen Photography, Eventricity, and The Master Baker. We also got to experience more award-winning catering provided by Drexelbrook Catering.
Franklin Commons stands out because it combines an art gallery, a sculpted garden, an outdoor courtyard, and Franklin Hall into one magnificent venue. If you’re in between venues, Franklin Commons is a great consideration.
If you’re feeling overwhelmed with planning your wedding and don’t know where to start, consider checking out some open houses! It will make it easier to organize your wedding likes and dislikes by seeing it right in front of you.
Besides getting you into the wedding planning mood, you’ll also enjoy great food, drinks, and entertainment!
