Charity Event: Cornhole, Beer, and Fun!

Fundraising, good eats, and cornhole! What else could a night of fun need? Twinkle Photo Booth recently had the privilege to provide a photo booth to a charity event in Philadelphia, PA. The Lions Eye Bank of Delaware Valley hosted its first-ever Cornhole for Corneas Tournament at Old City Beer Garden.

The Lions Eye Bank of Delaware Valley works to enhance an individual’s quality of life. They achieve this through restoration or improving vision through transplant, medical research, and education.

The attendees of the Cornhole for Corneas Tournament were sponsors, donors, and transplant recipients, and their families and friends. Over 30 teams registered for the tournament, in addition to many people who purchased spectator tickets.

The evening was wonderful, full of food, drinks, and fun. Local businesses donated prizes and gift cards for a silent raffle. Attendees could bid on prizes such as pizza from a local restaurant, a photo session, a makeover, and more. Between the auction, 50/50 raffle, donations, and ticket sales, Lions Eye Bank raised over $8,000!

Entertainment for the evening was participating or watching the cornhole tournament, which Team 1 won! Music was played in the background and guests could stop by our booth for some fun pictures.

Between each round of the tournament, transplant recipients, or their parents, shared how their lives were changed. Two of the recipients in attendance are young girls. Their mothers shared how amazing it is that they are able to live their lives like any other child.

It is great to be a part of a charity event for an organization that helps improve the lives of people in the community.
